Snowy Morning

This week's Daily Paintworks challenge was to paint snow, and when I woke up this morning there was snow on the ground... so I thought I'd go with it.  I need to make it a point to do more of the DPW challenges!  There are always good ideas for when I feel I'm lacking inspiration.

Overlooking

Last night I spent hours trying to paint my cat Maxwell.  I wasn't happy with the result.  I'm not giving up on it yet, but I had to take a break and paint another landscape to calm myself down :P

I like clouds... and I especially like them at the end of a sunny day. These particular clouds were in Plymouth, Massachusetts last weekend, and I was happy I snapped a photo I could paint from. Now I'll be on the hunt for more cloud photos!
